I paint to clarify space, light, and form. My work in watercolor and oil draws from a background in architecture, where structure and materiality shape how we experience the world. Whether capturing a coastal horizon or the geometry of a quiet interior, I aim to distill complexity into something precise and resonant.
Based in New England, I focus on landscapes and still lifes that reflect the region’s seasonal shifts and tactile character. Watercolor allows me to work quickly and responsively, emphasizing atmosphere and gesture. Oil offers depth and control, letting me build surfaces that hold time. Both mediums serve a shared goal: to create images that feel intentional, balanced, and quietly immersive.
I approach each painting as a spatial problem—how to guide the eye, how to anchor emotion in form. My compositions often begin with architectural logic and end with painterly intuition. I’m interested in how light defines edges, how color suggests temperature, and how silence can be built into an image.
My goal is to make work that invites reflection without demanding it—pieces that reward close looking and offer a sense of calm precision
